The Cottage is located inside the Quinta das Colmeias estate on the island of Madeira. A converted dairy offering a cosy alternative to the main house with the same facilities available to both, including the pool and the croquet lawn. Enjoy a peaceful retreat in an authentic rural atmosphere.
Situated 5 minutes from the local golf 27 hole course and 15 minutes from the sea, surrounded by mountains, the cottage provides a fantastic starting point for many local activities like walking and horse riding as well as a central location to set out and explore the island.
The open space living and dinning area seats 6 comfortably, the fireplace makes a welcoming centre piece on returning home after a day discovering the island, there is plenty to keep you busy: watch some TV or listen to your favourite CD's sitting on the patio as the sun goes down over the mountains, play some cards, read a book or just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.
Equipped with all modern facilities, the kitchen has all you need to cook up a feast. With hobs, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and of course a dishwasher. If you don't feel like cooking there are quite a few restaurants only 5 minutes drive from the house. A barbecue is also provided.
The Cottage has 1 twin bedroom and 2 double bedrooms, one of which has direct access from the exterior (handicapped access). There are two bathrooms one with bath the other with a shower unit.Cots are available for small children.
